2. RT Day 1. So….we went to Round Top. Yesterday marked day 1 of our antiquing adventure and although the weather was terrible, my sis-in-law and I covered a lot of ground and scored some awesome loot. Plus, I got to break in my new-ish Hunter boots, so I was happy 🙂 Equally as awesome as the stuff, was the food. Maybe it’s just because I am in a constant state of hunger, but the food out at the fair/tents/fields was incredible, most notably, Royers Round Top Cafe‘s fried chicken box lunch and their sister company Pie Haven‘s homemade hot cocoa and famously sinful pies. I brought home a slice of their Junk Berry and Texas Trash pie for Troy to taste, and we plan to hit them up for breakfast tomorrow when we go back 🙂 They were that good. Mmmmmm. We also stopped by the Coffee Bug {a 1969 VW Beetle coffeewagon} but the line was way too long and it was way too cold. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. I am looking forward to trying out the other food trucks and such when we venture back out to Round Top tomorrow because Troy will be with me and he is my food partner in crime 🙂 If you’re out in the Round Top/Warrenton/Carmine/La Grange area, holler at me! Oh, and don’t forget your rain boots….
3. Initial It. I am slightly obsessed with monogramming these days. You know, the super traditional, super classic style of a lovely initials-only monogram. I already ordered our little bean a few things for her nursery and I have had my eye on a few more things as well, for the house, travel accessories, and my closet. I love how custom it is and how many options there are. I think monogramming has made such a huge comeback, and with items like this this this and this, how can you not go monogram-crazy?!
4. High Fives. My first high five goes to HBO’s Game of Thrones bc it’s back and already better than ever. Can’t wait to see what happens this season {eek!!!}. By the way, anyone who watches the show think Tyrion Lannister is going to somehow rise above and take over? That guy’s on to something… Big high five to Texas this week as well — yes, the entire state of Texas — well, at least a major part of it, because bluebonnets are back! I don’t typically photograph them much, but boy are they beautiful to look at, especially mixed with the Indian paintbrushes and other wildflowers that are sprouting up everywhere due to the rains we’ve gotten 🙂 Hit the road toward Austin and you will be floored at the sight of it. I also want to high five the heck out of Kevin Ware who broke his leg this week during an elite 8 game. It was a gruesome sight and a tragic injury, but boy did Louisville rally. Basketball is kinda intense this season, folks!
5. Thread Tunes. Because I have had this song on my mind for the past few days, and because I am SOOOO bummed I can’t go to their concert when they come to town {are you going??}, this week’s tune is Mumford and Son’s “I Will Wait“. I know it’s been a feature here before, but it’s a goodie and so worth repeating.
Have a fantastic rest of the week, folks! I have a few awesome family sessions to share with you next week, so be sure to check in then.

I ended up going to Round Top last Saturday because of your Thursday Thread post last week! I was amazed and overwhelmed. I’m so glad you posted about it – It. Was. Awesome! I need to plan another trip out there before it gets too hot out. I hope you’ve found some great treasures.
