It’s no secret that we LOVED our trip to Florida a few weeks ago. And it’s also no secret that I am horrible at uploading/editing personal photos. BUT I was so excited about sharing these that I stayed up extra late to get them finished 🙂
We arrived at Matt and Jordan’s house on Thursday and spend a relaxing night eating the BEST dinner ever — scallops and mushroom risotto, lobster mac & cheese, and sushi. Beachside. With the wind in our hair and sand on our shoes. That’s how you do it, folks, that is HOW you do it! 🙂
We walked out on the pier just after sunset and I snapped this photo. When I took it, it was PITCH black outside, but all that light you see is the glow from the city and the leftover sunlight. Pretty cool, huh?? The next morning, we woke up early and road-tripped it down to the Keys. Yes, that is a giant banana playing the guitar in the distance… Troy was super pumped to eat Cuban food, so that’s exactly what we did on our first night in the Keys. Everything we consumed was pure awesomeness, especially the coffee {yes, I created a heart out of the milk froth. Duh!}We went to brunch at a place called Blue Heaven, which is known for their key lime pie, eclectic setting, banana bread, and wandering chickens. It was the coolest place; very island-ish.See that GIANT piece of pie? Troy and I split one. Barely. My sweet-tooth sister-in-law? Ya, she at the whole piece. And took no prisoners…Our first few days in the Keys were pretty great, thanks to our wonderful hosts, but the second half of the trip was even better. Will share soon 🙂
Until then, have a great weekend!

I LOVE it! (Nearly as much as I love key lime pie….)
